NCAA adds StatMonitr to the 2011 Women's College World Series

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- The NCAA and StatBroadcast Systems reached terms today for StatBroadcast to provide its StatMonitr media stats service for the press and staff covering this year's Women's College World Series, the final three rounds of the Division I women's softball tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The Women's College World Series (WCWS) will be the seventh Division I NCAA championship that StatBroadcast has provided its service for this academic year, joining baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's ice hockey, football and lacrosse.

The WCWS is held annually at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and involves the eight remaining teams in teh women's softball tournament, divided into two four-team double-elimination brackets. The winners of each bracket advance to a best-of-three series for the Division I National Championship. This year's WCWS will be held June 2 - 8, 2011 and televised nationally by ESPN.
